PISA  - 71 miles.   (Our recommendation) 

 

Pisa is a very small airport. On leaving the car hire centre you immediately join the motorway, literally within meters of picking up the car. There are a couple of routes and we can make suggestions if you would like some information - or we travel in convoy.  The plan is to travel via the coast and add a cheeky swim and run to the itinerary before you even get to the house.

Due to being in rural Tuscany a hire car is a great option to allow you to visit the area a little bit. Driving really is easy and the perfect way to maximise your trip.

 

You could use the midweek easy training day to squeeze in a visit to Siena, only 15miles away approx, or stay on in Italy a few extra days and visit Florence, San Gimignano or Volterra among many other beautiful Tuscan villages.

We realise that some athletes may prefer to take a transfer and we can arrange these for you.

Transfer places need to be reserved at time of booking but can be cancelled up to 1 month prior to travel if you decide to hire a car instead.  Any changes in the final 4 weeks incur a charge of £30.

Check out and departure from accommodation at around 0800

 

Unfortunately we are NOT able to organise transfers with bikes and you would have to hire a car to transport your own bike box.  We can however help coordinate anyone looking to share a hire car for bike boxes. Help is on hand to help you build and pack your bikes.

 

The bikes from Gippo are excellent and as they are delivered and picked up, then hiring a bike is a very simple and stress free option.
